14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 β T&C Clause 6A
What Is the Cooling-Off Period?
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers are ordinarily entitled to a 14-day cancellation right from the date of purchase.
However, Regulation 36 of the same legislation expressly permits a consumer to waive this right where they have requested immediate commencement of a service.
Why It Doesn't Apply Here
- You expressly request immediate service commencement upon engagement
- Case activation begins as soon as a consultant is allocated β which may be within hours
- Our services constitute document preparation and assisted self-help β not reserved legal activities
- Work commenced cannot be undone β professional time is irrevocably expended
- By proceeding, you waive the 14-day cooling-off right lawfully under Regulation 36
- This waiver is set out expressly in Clause 6A of our Terms & Conditions
Note: Nothing in this section limits or removes your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services delivered with reasonable care and skill. Your statutory rights remain fully intact. This waiver applies specifically to the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
